American Academy of Health Physics (AAHP)
The AAHP is an organization that advances the profession of Health
Physics.
American Association of Physicists in Medicine
(AAPM) - A membership organization that promotes the application of
physics to medicine and biology.
States that License Medical Physicists - This is an interactive
map, developed through a collaborative effort between AAPM and
CRCPD, designed to be a one-stop-shop for the membership and the
public to find information on individual state's requirements for
licensure or registration of medical physicists. AAPM and the CRCPD
will continually modify the map as new information becomes
available.

- The principal organization of radiologists,
radiation oncologists, and clinical medical physicists in the US.
American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA)
- Promotes training and protection of Industrial Hygienists in the
US.
American Nuclear Society (ANS)
- A non-profit international, scientific and educational
organization established to unify the professional activities within
the diverse fields of nuclear science and technology.
American Roentgen Ray Society (ARRS)
- The mission of the Society is to advance medicine through the
science of radiology and its allied sciences by enabling the
creation and exchange of knowledge and information in the field
through its journal, meetings and other means.

A
nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing you the most reliable,
complete, and up-to-date medical and personal information about
breast cancer.
Council
on Ionizing Radiation Measurements and Standard
- A non-profit organization that provides national leadership,
focus, action, and information dissemination across radiation
related disciplines on a wide range of ionizing radiation
measurements and standards topics.
Environmental Council of the
States (ECOS) - The national non-profit, non-partisan association of state and
territorial environmental commissioners. To improve the environment
of the United States, they will champion the role of states in
environmental management; provide for the exchange of ideas, views
and experiences among states; foster cooperation and coordination in
environmental management; and articulate state positions to
Congress, federal agencies and the public on environmental issues.
Health Physics Society (HPS)
- An international professional scientific
organization dedicated to promoting the practice of radiation
safety.

1000), read short information summaries from over 40 subject categories,
pose a specific question to an expert.

National Alliance for
Hispanic Health The National Alliance
for Hispanic Health is the oldest and largest network of health and
human service providers servicing over 10 million Hispanic consumers
throughout the U.S.
National Alliance of Breast Cancer Organizations - Network of
breast cancer organizations that provides information, assistance and
referral to anyone with questions about breast cancer.
National Breast Cancer Coalition - The NBCC is a grassroots
effort in the fight against breast cancer. In 1991, the
Coalition was formed with one mission, to eradicate breast cancer
through action and advocacy.
National Conference of State
Legislatures (NCSL) - The NCSL is a forum for advancing ideas in
a home state, across other states, and on Capitol Hill. The
organization is committed to helping state lawmakers and legislative
staff members advance ideas; to improve the quality and
effectiveness of state legislatures; to promote policy innovation
and communication among state legislatures; to ensure state
legislatures a strong, cohesive voice in the federal system.
All the nation's legislators and legislative staff are members of
NCSL.
National Council on Radiation Protection and
Measurement (NCRP) - An organization that
"seeks to formulate and widely disseminate information, guidance and
recommendations on radiation protection and measurements which
represent the consensus of leading scientific thinking."
National Electrical
Manufacturers Association - NEMA provides a forum for the
standardization of electrical equipment, enabling consumers to
select from a range of safe, effective, and compatible electrical
products.
National Governors Association (NGA)
- The collective voice of the nation's governors. The association's
ongoing mission is to support the work of the governors by providing
a bipartisan forum to help shape and implement national policy and
to solve state problems. NGA provides governors and their
senior staff members with services that range from representing
states on Capitol Hill and before the Administration on key federal
issues to developing policy reports on innovative state programs and
hosting networking seminars for state government executive branch
officials.
National Registry of Radiation Protection
Technologists (NRRPT) - Encourages and
promotes the education and training of radiation protection
technologists.
National Safety Council (NSC) - The
National Safety Council is a nonprofit, nongovernmental,
international public service organization dedicated to protecting
life and promoting health. The NSC is a membership organization,
founded in 1913 and chartered by the U.S. Congress in 1953.
Their mission: To educate and influence society to adopt safety,
health and environmental policies, practices and procedures that
prevent and mitigate human suffering and economic losses arising
from preventable causes.
Organization of Agreement
States - The Organization of Agreement States (OAS) facilitates
communication, cooperation, and exchange of information about
radiation safety regulatory topics and issues between OAS member
states, the United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission, and with
other individuals, groups, and local, state, and federal agencies.
OAS seeks a high-performing national framework for radiation
protection, integrated across all jurisdictions and programs.
Society of Nuclear
Medicine (SNM) - An international
scientific and professional organization that promotes the science,
technology, and practical applications of nuclear medicine.
