Jack Hornor

WHEREAS:

Jack W. Hornor has provided over 40 years of practical experience in health physics and nuclear engineering, of which more than 15 years were as a federal public servant as a staff member of the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC); and

WHEREAS:

Jack W. Hornor has been actively involved in, and provided leadership in, national programs that have assisted states in their effort to protect the public, patient, and radiation workers from unnecessary radiation exposure; and

WHEREAS: Jack W. Hornor has assisted Agreement State Programs in carrying out their responsibilities as an "Agreement State"; and

WHEREAS:

Jack W. Hornor was selected to serve on the pilot Integrated Material Performance Evaluation Program (IMPEP) review team; serving as a team leader for two of five pilot reviews, a program that has been beneficial both to the NRC and State Agreement Programs; and

WHEREAS:

Jack W. Hornor has provided new ideas and procedures to assist State Agreement Programs, being commended by many state programs for establishing an excellent working relationship between the NRC and agreement states.  

NOW BE IT RESOLVED THAT:

Jack W. Hornor is hereby recognized and commended by the Board of Directors of the Conference of Radiation Control Program Directors, Inc. for his support of national public health goals and for his outstanding professional contributions to state and local radiation control programs, especially NRC State Agreement Programs; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED:

Jack W. Hornor is recognized and appreciated for his many years of support of the Conference of Radiation Control Program Directors, Inc.
