BOARD OF DIRECTORS RESOLUTION

 Joseph McCord Nanus


Relating to:

The contributions of Joseph McCord Nanus to radiation protection, and in particular, his many contributions to the Conference of Radiation Control Program Directors, Inc. (CRCPD).

Whereas:

Joseph Nanus gave 28 years of professional radiation protection service to the State of Texas; and

Whereas:

During his 28 years with the State of Texas, Joe was a strong supporter of the CRCPD; and

Whereas:

In his support of the goals and objectives of the CRCPD, Joe served the organization, including:

  • Chair, member and advisor to the CRCPD Training Committee, which developed guidelines for training of state radiation control personnel and assisted in planning regional training meetings
  • Advisor to the CRCPD Committee on the Nationwide Evaluation of X-Ray Trends
  • Advisor to the CRCPD Committee on Quality Assurance in Diagnostic X-Ray

Now Therefore, Be It Resolved:

That Joe Nanus is hereby memorialized and recognized for his many years of service to the profession of radiation protection in the Texas Radiation Control Program;

Be it Further Resolved:

That Joe Nanus is hereby memorialized and commended for his many years of service to the Conference of Radiation Control Programs Directors, a service that benefits all citizens in the United States from unnecessary radiation exposure.
