CRCPD RESOLUTION

Relating to: the Public Information Committee

WHEREAS: The members of the Conference are associated with radiation control programs, and

WHEREAS: The radiation control programs exist to protect the public from exposure to radiation in excess of regulatory limits or "as low as is reasonably achievable" concepts, and

WHEREAS: Radiation Control Program Directors are responsible for enforcement of laws and regulations which are enacted to protect the public from exposure to radiation.

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That representatives of the Conference should speak through any and all media, and before groups of persons, government organizations, and all other entities, on the need for radiation control and protection of the public health and safety from radiation, and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Conference should appoint a public information standing committee who shall respond to requests by State Agencies or State Radiation Program Directors to provide testimony with respect to the value and need for State Radiation Control Programs.
